Description

LITHOTRIPS is a blend of standardised extracts, with the following content:

Bergenia ligulata – 160 mg per capsule / 320 mg per 2 capsules
Didymocarpus pedicellata – 80 mg / 160 mg
Dolichos biflorus – 60 mg / 120 mg
Boerhavia diffusa (Punarnava) – 50 mg / 100 mg
Crateva nurvala (Varuna) – 50 mg / 100 mg
Tribulus terrestris – 50 mg / 100 mg
Mentha piperita – 10 mg / 20 mg
Piper nigrum – 5 mg / 10 mg

LITHOTRIPS – a kidney complex for stones:

• Supports the natural process of dissolving and eliminating solid particles from the kidneys and the urinary tract
• Supports the normal function of the excretory system
• Supports the normal filtration capacity of the kidneys
• Maintains the normal water–salt balance and pH

 

Recommended daily dose: 1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening with a sufficient quantity of water, over a period of 6 months. It is recommended that LITHOTRIPS be taken before a meal.

Lithotrips is used in cases of symptoms of and predisposition to nephrolithiasis (kidney stone disease). The combination of ingredients reduces the quantity of crystals that form and supports their natural elimination with the urine.

Bergenia ligulata – the bergenia extract contains the active substance bergenin. The active metabolite of bergenin inhibits the production of kidney stones containing calcium (oxalate and phosphate stones). Prolonged intake over 6 months prevents the appearance of new stones or grit.

Didymocarpus pedicellata – the didymocarpus extract is rich in polyphenols. For this reason it has a pronounced antioxidant effect, particularly in terms of protecting the nephrons. In Asian countries the extract is used to improve kidney function and in kidney stone disease.

Dolichos biflorus – supports the breakdown and elimination of oxalate stones that have formed. It has a pronounced diuretic effect, which supports the more effective removal of the stones.

Boerhavia diffusa (Punarnava) – Punarnava has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, which is why it is used for pain resulting from a renal “colic”. The extract has a mild diuretic action. There is evidence of a reduction in the size of, and inhibition of the production of, struvite stones through punarnava.

Tribulus terrestris – the active substances quercetin and kaempferol inhibit an important enzyme responsible for the production of oxalates. In this way tribulus is effective for oxalate kidney stones. It also has diuretic properties, which supports the excretion of the stones with the urine.

Crateva nurvala (Varuna) – has a diuretic action. It regulates the concentrations of calcium and phosphorus in the urine, thereby preventing the formation of oxalate and phosphate stones.

Mentha piperita – the menthol in peppermint has a powerful antispasmodic action, as it blocks the calcium ion channels and in this way causes relaxation of the smooth muscle. Mint is used to reduce the pain and spasms during a renal “colic” and in the process of eliminating the grit that has formed.

Piper nigrum – increases the bioavailability and effectiveness of the other ingredients in Lithotrips.
