Vitamin C and the minerals zinc and selenium are of the greatest importance for the proper functioning of the immune system, particularly in children. They are necessary for the body during infections, as they support the maintenance of the normal functions of the immune system. The immunostimulating properties of zinc are due to its active involvement in the formation and maturation of leukocytes, which protect us from complications of the common cold, such as a viral or bacterial infection of a body weakened by the cold.

Sambucus nigra – Elderberry is a strong immunostimulant. The berries contain chemical compounds called anthocyanidins, thanks to which elderberry demonstrates its qualities in relation to the sinuses. A sinus infection is a condition in which the cavities around the nasal passages become inflamed, and Sambucus nigra extract is a natural means for the sinuses.

1,3-1,6 Beta Glucan – Beta glucans are exceptionally effective immunostimulants of natural origin. They support both innate and acquired immunity. They increase the resistance of the body to pathogenic and opportunistic bacteria and to a large number of viruses. The most potent beta glucans are the long-chain 1,3/1,6 beta glucans extracted from Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast. Beta glucans improve the work of the immune system by activating cells called macrophages. Their role is to capture and “eat” bacteria, viruses and parasites that are dangerous to humans. Macrophages are cells of the immune system, and when their number is insufficient in risk areas such as the nasopharynx, the excretory system or the lungs, the risk of pathogenic bacteria developing is very high.
