Description
PROSTAMIN is a blend of standardised plant extracts, one capsule containing: Serenoa repens – 166 mg, Urtica dioica – 122 mg, Epilobium parviflorum – 122 mg, Tribulus terrestris – 50 mg, Zn – 3 mg, Vitamin B6 – 1 mg, Vitamin D3 – 5 mcg.
PROSTAMIN has a beneficial effect on:
- The normal functioning of the prostate gland
- Reducing the need for frequent night-time urination
- Normal spermatogenesis and sexual function in men
Recommended daily dose: 2 capsules.
Serenoa repens (Saw Palmetto)
- The protective effect of the extract is due to a reduction in the activity and metabolism of the male sex hormones.
- Intake of saw palmetto extract is considered responsible for the reduced activity of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which stimulates the conversion of testosterone into its more active form, dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
- DHT is present at high levels in men with prostate hyperplasia and is considered responsible for its overgrowth.
- Inhibiting (blocking) 5-alpha reductase prevents the overgrowth of the prostate.
- The results attributed to the extract are an average reduction of 32% in the levels of the enzyme, without affecting testosterone levels.
Urtica dioica (Nettle)
- The phytosterols block the enzyme responsible for converting free testosterone into toxic dihydrotestosterone. This blocking leads to:
- Counteracting inflammatory processes, muscle spasms and enlargement of the prostate.
- Relief of the symptoms of difficult urination, frequent need to urinate, nocturia (frequent urination at night) and residual urination (incomplete emptying of the bladder).
Epilobium parviflorum (Small-flowered willowherb)
- Has a beneficial effect on the prostate gland and the bladder.
- Contributes to the better functioning of the urogenital system.
- Reduces the need for frequent night-time urination.
Tribulus terrestris
- The main mechanism of action of tribulus concerns the hormones. In men it increases luteinising hormone in the testes, from which testosterone is formed.
- The prodioscin contained in tribulus reduces the symptoms of prostate hyperplasia and decreases the volume of the prostate.
- It strengthens sexual desire and supports normal sexual function in men with prostate hyperplasia.
Zinc contributes to maintaining normal levels of testosterone in the blood, to normal fertility and sexual function. It takes part in the process of cell division.
Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal course of metabolism and the production of energy, as well as to reducing the feeling of weariness and fatigue, and takes part in the regulation of hormonal activity.
Vitamin D3 takes part in the process of cell division and contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
