Antioxidant activity – Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant. It binds free radicals and protects the cells from their harmful effect.
Reproductive capacities – Vitamin E is known as the vitamin of fertility. In women it increases the quantity and improves the properties of the cervical secretion, which allows the spermatozoa to survive for a longer time until reaching the egg cell. In men the vitamin increases the number and the quality of the spermatozoa.
Immunostimulating effect – Vitamin E plays an essential role in mediating the immune response – it is responsible for the production of prostaglandins by the macrophages, improves the function of T-cell immunity and is linked to the function of the NK cells.
Protects the skin – Besides through its antioxidant effect, vitamin E protects the epithelial cells of the skin through its pronounced photoprotective effect.
