Anafranil
Anafranil is used in the form of coated tablets. The active substance in Anafranil is clomipramine hydrochloride, which belongs to a group of medicines known as tricyclic antidepressants.
Anafranil is used to treat depression and mood swings. Other mental disorders that can be treated with Anafranil include obsessive-compulsive disorders, panic disorder, and phobias (unreal fears). It is also used to treat muscle weakness (cataplexy) associated with recurring attacks of sleepiness (narcolepsy) in adults. In children and adolescents, Anafranil is used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorders and panic disorders.
