Purpose:
- Soothes pain and irritation in the throat caused by viral and bacterial infections.
- Supports the natural barrier function of the mucous membrane.
- Forms a protective bioadhesive film.
Recommended daily dose:
3 sprays up to 6 times daily.
Suitable for children over 18 months of age.
Althaea officinalis (Marshmallow root) – rich in mucilage substances that form a protective bioadhesive film when in contact with inflamed mucosa. This film coats and moisturizes irritated areas, reducing pain, burning, and discomfort in the throat. It also softens the tissues and supports mucosal regeneration, particularly in cases of dry, irritating cough.
Thymus vulgaris (Thyme herb) – contains essential oils (mainly thymol and carvacrol) with proven antimicrobial, antiseptic, and spasmolytic effects. These components act against bacterial, viral, and fungal pathogens, helping control infections of the upper respiratory tract. Thyme also has bronchodilatory properties, easing secretion clearance and reducing bronchial spasms.
Glycyrrhiza glabra (Licorice root) – contains glycyrrhizic acid and flavonoids with mild corticosteroid-like anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It has an expectorant effect by stimulating bronchial secretion and liquefying mucus, helping to relieve throat and airway inflammation, dryness, and cough.
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid) – plays a key role in metabolism and in the regeneration of mucous membranes, including those of the pharynx and larynx. It supports epithelial tissue repair, accelerates healing after inflammation, and helps alleviate irritation. It also has a mild anti-inflammatory effect.
Papaver rhoeas (Red poppy flower) – when applied to the pharyngeal mucosa, its active compounds form a thin protective layer that reduces receptor sensitivity and suppresses the cough reflex without affecting breathing or mucus clearance. It is especially effective for dry, painful throat irritation caused by talking, cold air, or allergies.
Mentha piperita (Peppermint herb) – rich in menthol, flavonoids, and essential oils with antiseptic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and refreshing properties. Menthol activates cold receptors (TRPM8) in the throat, producing a cooling sensation and pain relief. It also has a mild local anesthetic effect, reducing burning and irritation in an inflamed throat.
Curcumin – possesses well-documented anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties demonstrated in numerous pharmacological and clinical studies.
Zingiber officinale (Ginger root) and Eucalyptus oil – act synergistically to relieve pain and inflammation in the throat. Both ingredients have antimicrobial activity and promote the healing of irritated mucosa.
